Knut Magne from Hamar, NorwayGreat done Kaylin, and the road leads you into the picture. Great that the horizon is so high, it gives more of the main motive in the picture. :-)) 7 Jan 2009 5:25am @Knut Magne: Thanks Knut :)) Jean-François from LES ISSAMBRES, Francemagnifique travail !!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT !!!!!!!!! 7 Jan 2009 6:10am @Jean-François: Merci Jean!!! :)) LeenaM from Joensuu, FinlandThe road seems to be endless in spite of a figure on it! Very impressive photo. I wrote an answer to your comment on my site. 7 Jan 2009 6:26am @LeenaM: Thanks very much for your reply Leena!! :))) EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomLike a scene from the set of a Hammer Horror flick. Superbly observed, filled with detail and clarity and a scene which beckons me every further inwards. Utterly superb 7 Jan 2009 8:02am @EYES WIDE SHUT: Thank you so much! You are right it's like that, like a horror flick a little ... Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomI've never seen grave yards like this before. Everything seems really tightly packed together. It's really quite spooky. Another excellent photo :) 7 Jan 2009 8:58am @Mike: Thanks so much Mike :)) Yes here the water table is so high, meaning if you dig into the ground you just hit water. If the dead are burried there they have a tendency to pop back up ... soo graves are placed above ground. We don't want our relatives to pop back up haha Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesThe red selective coloring is super in this very moody shot. There are no cemeteries like these, anywhere. Cool work, Kaylin. 7 Jan 2009 12:09pm @Veronelle: Thank you Veronelle! @Lorraine: Haha Thanks Lorrain! I'm trying ... I really am. @john4jack: Thank you John!! :) MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanySome special graves? ;-) 7 Jan 2009 5:42pm @MadScientist: Oh yes ... sorry I always forget to say things. This is a very large cemetery in New Orleans called Greenwood. It's a little ways outside the city. It only goes back to the mid 1800's. The Saint Louis cemeteries closer to the middle of the city go back to the 1700s. @Steve Rice: Thanks so much Steve! Melanie from SwitzerlandExcellent! 7 Jan 2009 8:06pm @Melanie: Yes thank you :) I just thought I didn't want to see a completely black and white photograph. |
